This week, I visited two of the most stylish and well-stocked destinations in the East Bay: 🌴 Paraíso Plant Studio in Berkeley and 🌺 Crimson Horticultural Rarities on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. Both shops offer a wide selection of plants, pots, and plant care accessories, and both are a joy to visit—though they cater to slightly different styles and budgets.

Like Paraíso, Crimson also stocks a thoughtful collection of ceramics, watering cans, books, and tools—many of them from small makers or independent brands.
